Padma Shri Chef Sanjeev Kapoor’s "The Yellow Chilli" opens its 2nd outlet for Mumbaikars

Launched in 2001, with restaurants spread across India and abroad, The Yellow Chilli chain is synonymous with delicious and innovative Indian cuisine. The second outlet located in Dadar, opened on January 16, 2017. The first one is in Powai and one more right next to the periphery of Mumbai, in Thane.

 The 92 cover, The Yellow Chilli was unveiled in Star Mall, near Sena Bhavan, Dadar, one of the prime locations in Mumbai, by the Masterchef in a grand launch today. Sanjeev Kapoor alongwith Mr. Rajeev Matta (CEO, SKR), the franchise owners, Nitin Gawande, Pradeep Keskar and Millind Samel and "The Yellow Chilli" staff welcomed the media to the press conference marking the beginning of this impressive event, with performance by Sanjeev Kapoor and his band ,which was followed by a cocktail dinner. 

Besides food, Bollywood & Television stars were the biggest attraction where innovative and  sumptuous food was the topic of discussion attended by , Hariharan, Harsha Bhogale , Amrita Raichand, Vaishali Samant, Shweta Khanduri, Garima Pandey, Leena Mogre, Jyoti Saxena, Varun Badola with Rajeshwari, Dr.Aneel Murarka, Suhas Awchat etc. 

With this The Yellow Chilli, SK Restaurants has entered the vibrant and bustling area of Mumbai and this is reflected in its interiors as well – contemporary and millennial with metallic structures and hand painted walls depicting Mumbai’s iconic skyline. Even the lighting has been played with to suit the look and the feel of the entire area. In addition to this, exquisite glassware and cutlery seamlessly sets the tone for a fine dining experience. To top it all the service is on par with the best across the world. The restaurant is designed to cater to the myriad tastes of its discerning guests. 

As far as the food is concerned, there’s an exciting regional menu with favourites like Sol Kadhi, Kothimbir Wadi, Kolambi Masala Fry, Mutton Rassa, etc. that will surely make you come back for more. Besides this, The Yellow Chilli menu reflects Chef Sanjeev Kapoor's culinary excellence and is drawn from the North-West Frontier area with exotic picks from the Mughal era and specific regions of Punjab. The menu includes some of his signature dishes, both in vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, like Hare Masaley ka Bhuna Paneer, Shabnam ke Moti, Shaam Savera, Lalla Mussa Dal, Lawrence Road Tandoori Murgh, Chandi Kaliyan, Puran Singh da Tariwala Murgh, Raan Buzzkazi, Dum Gosht Biryani and some delectable desserts like Gulab-e-Gulkand, Chhenar Payesh, Rasmalai, Cappuccino Coffee Cake with Butterscotch Lava and the likes.
